Our team at Wainwrights’ have been making the most of the Langdale Estate Smokehouse ...

... The Langdale Estate Smokehouse is just behind the pub by the river and this is where Scott (Langdale Estate head chef) works his magic, hot and cold smoking delicious meats, fish & cheeses. The produce from the smokehouse features throughout the menu and on the specials board and is all sourced locally.

Smokin'

We are

Wainwrights’ Inn was once a farmhouse, gunpowder factory managers house, petrol station and hotel. The varied history is matched by the variety of ale from local brewers and a few choice brews from further afield. Other refreshing beverages are available with a selection of wines and seasonal specialities for inside and outside all year round.

For the indecisive or adventurous why not seek the advice of bar staff who will be more than happy to recommend an Ale for you. Still not sure? Well we have a plan B, beer bats, try three ales for the price of one (pint) and get the best of both worlds!

Beer Bats - £3.60

Can't decide which of our fine guest Ales you'd like to try ... don't worry, with our Beer Bat (3 third pint glasses) and you can try 3 at once!
