Langdale Self Catering - Terms & Conditions
- Lodges and apartments are available for occupation from 4pm on the day of arrival. Guests arriving early are welcome to use the leisure facilities and restaurants prior to this time.
- Properties must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. It is particularly important for this time to be observed so that Housekeeping have sufficient time to prepare the property for the next residents. On departure, the unit should be locked, the keys handed into Reception, and any outstanding account settled.
- Lodges, Brackens Cottage and Beckside properties are located on the Estate, while apartments at Chapel Stile and Elterwater Hall, Elterwater Barn and Cottage are situated a few hundred yards away, within easy walking distance.
- The person making the booking must be over the age of 21.
- The number of guests is restricted to the number of beds appropriate to each lodge or apartment. Apart from a baby in a cot, no additional guests can be permitted.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in any enclosed areas inside the properties and across the Estate, and cigarette ends must not be thrown from balconies or dropped on the ground. A charge up to the value of one week’s rental will be made for any additional cleaning resulting from these rules not being observed.
- Guests have full use of the leisure facilities including heated indoor swimming pool, spa bath, sauna, steam room and gym. The exercise studio classes, tennis court and health & Brimstone Spa are also available, although their use will incur extra charges. (It is advisable to make reservations for all Spa treatments in advance to avoid disappointment).
- A non-refundable deposit of £200 is payable at the time of booking, with the balance payable six weeks prior to the holiday commencement date. Payment for the balance of your holiday will be taken from the card used to make the booking. The rental must be paid in full if the reservation is made within six weeks of the holiday. Prices include VAT at the prevailing rate.
- The rental prices are inclusive of heating, electricity charges. Telephone charges are payable on departure.
- Lodges and apartments will be cleaned prior to arrival. Daily or additional cleaning can be requested in advance for an additional fee.
- Should the holiday have to be cancelled for any reason, notification should be made immediately in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows: The deposit of £200 will be regarded as non-refundable; if the holiday is cancelled six weeks or less prior to the arrival date, no refund will be made.
- All prices are subject to alteration without notice, only prior to a confirmed booking.
- All rentals are subject to availability, and the Company reserves the right to re-allocate to a similar or upgraded property as necessary.
- Guests are expected to use the lodges and apartments with care, and will be liable for any loss, breakages or damage to a property or contents, as well as any resultant additional cleaning. The Company reserves the right to seek compensation for any damage discovered after departure.
- No pets, bird or any animal, including cats or dogs, can be brought on to the Langdale Estate or kept in any property.
- The Company reserves the right to refuse to accept any booking, and also reserves the right to ask any guest to leave the Estate if any of the above terms and conditions is not observed.
- It is advisable to take out your own holiday insurance.
- Please be aware we do not accept cash anywhere on site.
Do we have free access to the Langdale leisure facilities?
Yes. All self catering guests have complimentary use of the Langdale leisure facilities including swimming pool, gymnasium and functional zone.
Do we have use of Brimstone Spa?
Yes. As a resident of the Langdale Estate you will be able to access Brimstone Spa. Charges will apply.
Do I have to book for Brimstone Spa and Stove Restaurant?
It is advisable to book as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment.
Is there an additional charge for gas and electricity?
No. Gas and electricity is included
Do you offer a Takeaway food service?
Yes we offer a Takeaway Menu and a delivery service to all properties.
Do all properties have car parking?
Yes. All properties have at least one dedicated parking space. There is additional parking on site (it may not be outside your property) and is offered on a first come, first served basis.
What time can we check in from, and when do we check out?
Access to your property is available from 4pm on the day of arrival. You are requested to have vacated your property by 10am on the day of departure. You are able to enjoy the leisure facilities on the day of arrival and departure.
Can I bring my dog?
No, with the exception of assistance dogs
Are towels & bed linen included?
Yes. Towel and bed linen are provided in your property. Towels for the swimming pool can be hired from the Leisure Facilities Reception or you can bring your own.
Do you accept grocery deliveries?
Yes. Although you must be at the property to take delivery and the delivery driver must have clear instructions of which property you are in.
We can offer basic grocery items bought from our local Co-op to be placed in your lodge for arrival. The order form is included with your rental confirmation
Are all the properties accessible?
Most properties have at least 2 steps into the property, some properties can be fitted with ramps. Unit specific information is available at the point of booking.
