Spa Facilities

The heated indoor leisure pool is the centerpiece of the Spa and the perfect place to relax - lounge at the poolside, swim, or enjoy the soothing spa bath, Sanarium® and steam room.

The Swimming Pool
The 20-metre pool is maintained at a comfortable 29 degrees. A roped-off lane dedicated for serious swimmers separates the more energetic from the leisure bathers, and everyone can enjoy the massage seat built into the pool. The pool has a uniform depth of 1.2 metre - deep enough to swim easily but shallow enough to stand up in (for most!). A shallow paddling area caters for the smaller children, and older children have their own sessions with inflatable toys, etc. Around the pool are loungers for you to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

The Spa Pool
Our poolside spa will entice you to relax in an abundance of whirling bubbles which caress and soothe the body, relieving tension and dissolving stress.

The Steam Room
Recommended for gentle relaxation that will leave you with a great sense of well-being. The hot, steamy atmosphere assists breathing and is particularly beneficial to anyone suffering from asthma. Afterwards, step under the cold deluge shower...you may gasp for breath but will feel wonderfully invigorated.

The Sanarium®
The Sanarium® combines the soothing heat of a sauna with the cleansing humidity of a steam room; but, unlike a sauna it is not a searing heat, and the humidity is not as intense as a steam room, so it provides a very relaxing, fun and sociable atmosphere.

Tropical Shower
Relaxing, warm tropical rain or a chilling arctic blast - you choose, but be sure to press the right button!

Deluge Shower
Take a deep breath, brace yourself and pull the lever! Four gallons of icy cold water delivered in under a second - the perfect way to cool down after a steam or sanarium session or at any time for the masochistic!

The Exercise Studio
The Exercise Studio has a good range of Cardiovascular equipment and free weights, you can exercise while watching your favourite TV programme or listening to CDs. Qualified consultants can undertake a fitness assessment and design a personal exercise programme for you, plus give advice on lifestyle and nutrition.

Tennis
An out-door tennis court is located at Elterwater Hall.

Exercise Class and Fitness Suite
The Fitness Suite is air-conditioned and the sprung floor is perfect for exercise classes.
