Stove Bar Tender

We’re building Stove, a brand new multi-generational, deliberately different kind of restaurant at Langdale located in one of the most beautiful valleys in the country.  We employed a brilliantly gifted interior designer and made sure our guests were at the centre of every decision we made.

In the middle of Stove will be a huge central bar; the beating heart and soul of the guest journey.  We are looking for a Bar tender to lead the beverage team, creating memorable experiences, delivered to each customer.

The bar’s character will change depending on what time of day it is – in the morning it’s a place to grab a juice and a coffee to kick start your day.  During the day it’s a place to catch up with friends over a sharing platter, a flatbread, or a croquet monsieur. At night, with the lighting dimmed it’s where the cocktails, great drinks (and conversation) will flow.  It’s where ‘old-school’ formality meets ‘new school’ edge to create an experience that will blow each and every single guests expectation out of the water.

You need to be great with all the people you come across, caring about the guest, but just as much about your team and indeed yourself.  Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage you will take an active role in ensuring that the bar and the beverage team do the simple things brilliantly.  You will help lead from the front and be continuously training your team on cocktail, wine, and spirits knowledge.

It would be good if candidates had a track record of drinks service delivery in a similar setting but we love talking to people who are passionate, curious and enthusiastic – and those people who can deliver exemplary hospitality.

You need to be a great communicator and be really well organizational – how you present yourself and how you manage others will also be important.
