Great Local Food … At Langdale we strive
to purchase as much of our produce as possible from the rolling
countryside that is right on our doorstep.
We work hand-in-hand with local purveyors of Cumbrian fare to
ensure that we use only the freshest available produce. Meat is
bought from both Udales of Morecambe and Lakes Speciality Foods
of Staveley, Kendal. Our fine selection of British Cheeses, including
some delicious varieties from local Lakeland farms, is provided
by Barry Carr from The Cheese Larder in Kendal.
You will, however, note that there is an exception in the Smoked
Salmon, which we purchase direct from The Uig Lodge on the Isle
of Lewis, off the West Coast of Scotland. This is hand-selected,
100% Scottish Atlantic Salmon, which is then brined and smoked
to a secret recipe, before being hand-sliced and carefully packaged
for delivery by same-day courier.
We hope that you enjoy our culinary offerings, and take away fond
